I am a new dentist, who graduated from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario in 2016. For the last three years, I have been working at two separate offices in the South-Western Ontario region and as the sole dentist at both the offices. Currently, I am looking to move closer to home as my parents and brothers reside in North Delta.
In my last workplace, I have excelled at building rapport with my patients and the auxiliary staff of my dental team. Having a friendly demeanour and being an effective communicator certainly aided me in that aspect. In addition, I have had multiple patients who suffer from dental anxiety but they find my calm, kind and confident attitude comforting. As highlighted in my resume, my clinical experience not only allows me to perform a variety of dental procedures (restorative, endo, oral surgery, prosthodontics etc.) but also to manage patients with different needs. During January of 2018, I have had the opportunity to travel to Guatemala and help people who have limited or no access to dental care. I have completed on average twenty extractions per day and it certainly made me more confident to undertake more difficult extractions. In the future, I am interested in taking orthodontics, sedation and implant surgery CE courses to expand my skill repertoire. Overall, I am certain my excellent chair-side manners, desire to learn new procedures along with my clinical skills will help me become a successful dental professional at your practice.
